The General Accounting Office of the Nation (CGN) is a public entity that belongs to the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uruguay.
The Rental Guarantee System provides guarantees for housing leases. Until 2017 they carried out on paper inspections registries. They had the need to create an Inspection System (SDI) that would allow them to perform this task on digital devices through Android tablets.
As a UX / UI designer for the development team, I worked on the project with CGN authorities and inspectors staff from the beginning, to understand their work dynamics and the particular needs of everybody involved.
There was a history of rejection of these types of systems, so we had the challenge of ensuring that inspectors would not reject the mobile application, and would find it user friendly instead.
We needed to create an experience and a user interface that includes all possible users and scenarios.
